Description
In these CCTV (Video Surveillance Systems/VSS) learning modules, you will develop and understanding of lenses, video content analysis (VCA),and the commissioning of CCTV (VSS) systems. You’ll also learn about automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR).
With many CCTV (VSS) systems not offering high quality pictures because the correct lens has not been specified at the survey stage, it is essential to understand the role of a lens, fixed and variable focal lengths, manual and auto-iris lenses, depth of field, filters, automatic electronic shuttering (AES) and much, much more. The lens module looks to bring clarity to this.
The Video Content Analysis course is designed for integrators, installers, specifiers and end users who are considering utilising VCA technology in their video surveillance system projects. You’ll cover the process whereby CCTV images are automatically integrated for a particular situation, such as the detection of intruders, people counting, smoke detection or any other situation that can be both seen and accurately defined on a video image, so an alert can be raised.
The VSS Commissioning process will verify that a newly-installed system meets both the technical performance of the selected equipment and the operational requirements set out in the early stages of the design process. It is important to review the original design specification and operational requirements before writing a commissioning plan which lays out a step-by-step guide for commissioning a system, detailing its roles and responsibilities as well as defining the commissioning tasks and a timeline for carrying them out.
On completion of the four bitesize courses, you will be able to download and print a certificate to demonstrate your learning which is also worth 8 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points.
